Dos and Don'ts - An Adventurer's Guide

DOs

  • Wear comfy shoes. The event is outdoors; sturdy sandals or boots are recommended. Avoid delicate heels.
  • Dress up! Come in your best fantasy, medieval, or Renaissance-inspired attire. From knights and elves to peasants and royalty, all characters are welcome.
  • Bring essentials – water, medicine, tickets, hand sanitizer, umbrella, mini fan etc.
  • Bring props (responsibly). Cardboard swords, staffs, and foam weapons are allowed for immersion. Please make sure all props are safe, blunt, and convention-friendly. We do not allow metal or wooden props brought in by guests. Props must be less than 1.2m in length and 40cm in width.
  • Stay hydrated. Carry a refillable water bottle. There are water points nearby the event space in the park.
  • Try everything. Visit the marketplace, join quests, talk to cast members, and dive into the story. The more you participate, the more magical it gets!
  • Respect the guilds. Interact with performers in character if you’d like :) They’re here to create the world with you.
  • Mind your cloak & wingspan. Large costumes are allowed but be considerate in crowded areas.
  • Bring in your own food and drink. You understand your dietary restrictions best. Please bring in small snacks if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions as our food vendors may not be able to fully accommodate your needs.
  • Trade trinkets with willing guests. We have designated trinket trading benches for you to find new friends.
  • Be polite and respectful. And friendly and open~
  • Try to roleplay!

 

DON’Ts

  • No real weapons. Metal blades, sharp props, or anything dangerous are strictly prohibited.
  • No modern cosplay props. Sci-fi blasters don’t fit this world.
  • No destructive behaviour. Please don’t climb tents, pull down décor, or disrupt performances.
  • No smoking or vaping in faire grounds.
  • No littering. Let’s keep the grounds clean for everyone.
  • No Cash. The faire only allows cashless payments such as paynow, paylah, cards, or paypal.
  • No revealing or scary costumes. Below are a few non-exhaustive guidelines. However, use your good sense. If we find your outfit too revealing or scary, we may bar you from entering the faire.
    General guidelines: please be PG, No gore, No outfits where we can see your undergarments, Tops are compulsory, Don’t wear political attire. Does not apply to pets.
  • No trinket trading with vendors. Please pay our beautiful artists for their work
  • No harassing or heckling other attendees, especially without their consent.
  • No attacking other guests with prop weapons.
  • Do not bring picnic mats. Do not clutter or block space
  • Do not touch other people’s costumes without permission
  • Do not judge other peoples costumes.

 

👨👩👧 Children & Families

  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Some activities may have an age limit. Please check signs before joining.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for their children’s safety.
  • Children under 2 may enter free of charge.
  • Our event is not stroller friendly. There are no areas for stroller parking, and most core activities are on the lawn.

🐾 Pets

  • Pets are welcome only if leashed or carried in arms, well-behaved, and comfortable in crowds.
  • We do not allow guinea pigs and rabbits at our faire. Guests are bringing dogs, and for the wellbeing of the guinea pigs and rabbits, we ask that you leave them at home.
  • Please clean up after your pets.
  • Some activities may not be pet-friendly (eg. loud music, mock battles). 

 

Final note: Ren Faire Sg is about immersion, respect, and play. Treat vendors, performers, and fellow adventurers with kindness, so everyone can enjoy the magical world safely.
